Leeds United want Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink as manager?

Leeds United want to bring Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink back to the club as manager following his success at Burton Albion, according to a report.

Leeds United reportedly want to bring former striker Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink back to the club as manager.

The Dutchman has led Burton Albion into League One for the first time in the club's history after succeeding Gary Rowett at the Pirelli Stadium in November.

Leeds head coach Neil Redfearn sees his contract expire after the final match of the Championship season, and president Massimo Cellino has hinted that he is considering his future.

Cellino has identified Hasselbaink as the perfect replacement for Redfearn, according to The Sun.

The 43-year-old scored 42 goals for United in 87 appearances between 1997 and 1999.

Cellino has gone through five different managers during his first year at the helm of the Elland Road side.
