Leeds United reportedly consider axing manager Paul Heckingbottom just four months after hiring him.

Leeds United boss Paul Heckingbottom's future at the club is reportedly in doubt just four months after he took the job.

The former Barnsley manager has won just four of his 16 Championship games since replacing Thomas Christiansen at Elland Road in February this year.

According to The Mirror, Leeds owner Andrea Radrizzani is unsure whether Heckingbottom is the right man to lead the Yorkshire outfit into the future.

The 40-year-old is said to have met with the Leeds board at the end of the season to discuss transfer targets and next term's objectives, but the club's hierarchy are yet to offer him their backing.

The report suggests that Radrizzani has already sounded out potential successors to Heckingbottom, including former Swansea City head coach Michael Laudrup and ex-Leicester City boss Claudio Ranieri.
