Leicester City complete signing of Daniel Amartey from Copenhagen

Leicester City complete the signing of Daniel Amartey from Copenhagen on a four-and-a-half-year deal.

Leicester City have completed the signing of Daniel Amartey from Copenhagen on a contract until 2020.

Earlier this week, the Danish club announced that a fee, thought to be in the region of £6m, had been agreed from both parties.

The 21-year-old, who has made six appearances for Ghana, finalised personal terms and completed a medical with the Premier League club this week.

"It's a great pleasure to join Leicester City," Amartey told the club's official website. "I know the club have been interested in signing me for some time and that was a big part of my decision to come here.

"All over Europe, people are talking about Leicester City and how well the club is doing in the Premier League. The team plays exciting, attacking football and I'm looking forward to being part of it."

Amartey is the second new arrival at the King Power Stadium following the signing of Demarai Gray at the start of the month.
