Leicester City have expressed an interest in signing Caen midfielder N'Golo Kante, according to reports.

The 24-year-old is said to have caught the eye of a number of clubs across Europe following his impressive displays for the Ligue 1 outfit over the last season.

According to the Leicester Mercury, the Foxes are considering a bid of £8m for the Paris-born playmaker to bolster their squad after Matty James's cruciate knee ligament injury.

Kante is reportedly also on Southampton's radar.
