Leicester City manager Claudio Ranieri tight-lipped on Demarai Gray rumours

Leicester City boss Claudio Ranieri admits that Birmingham winger Demarai Gray is a "good player", but refuses to address speculation of a bid for the 19-year-old.

Claudio Ranieri has refused to comment on speculation linking highly-rated Birmingham City winger Demarai Gray with a late switch to Leicester City.

The Italian has reportedly triggered the 19-year-old's £4.7m buyout clause, but Ranieri, whose side have won seven Premier League points from a possible nine thus far, admits that Gray is a "good player" but refuses to discuss the rumours at length.

"I don't speak about speculation," he told a press conference.

"He's a good player, but there is not only him, there are other good players as well, and I have a lot of good players here."

Gray, who only signed a two-year extension in July, is contracted to the Blues until 2018.
