Report: Ronaldinho rejected Leicester City

A report claims that Premier League leaders Leicester City recently held discussions with Ronaldinho, but they were unable to lure 35-year-old to the King Power Stadium.

Former Barcelona star Ronaldinho reportedly turned down the chance to join Leicester City on transfer deadline day.

The 35-year-old has been without a club since he left Fluminense in his native Brazil last September.

However, despite being the surprise leaders of the Premier League, the Foxes were unable to convince the two-time FIFA World Footballer of the Year to sign on at the King Power Stadium, according to Mundo Deportivo.

Instead, the report adds that Ronaldinho is keen to secure a lucrative switch to the Chinese Super League.

The playmaker is known to be a popular figure in the Far East, having starred as Brazil won the 2002 World Cup, which was co-hosted by Japan and South Korea.
