Stuttgart reportedly show an interest in signing Leicester City midfielder Daniel Amartey, who has only played a bit-part role in 18 months in the East Midlands.

Leicester City midfielder Daniel Amartey has reportedly emerged as a transfer target for Stuttgart.

Since signing for the Foxes midway through their Premier League title-winning campaign, Amartey has made 41 appearances for the Foxes, but just 23 of those outings have come from the starting lineup.

The addition of Vicente Iborra could push the Ghanaian international further down the pecking order at the King Power Stadium and according to Stuttgarter Zeitung, talks have already begun over a possible transfer.

Even with Iborra and Danny Drinkwater both missing from their 4-3 defeat to Arsenal, Amartey still only made the bench and the 22-year-old could be allowed to leave if Leicester receive a suitable offer.

It has been suggested that Amartey may be tempted by the move to Germany to represent a club who earned promotion back to the top flight last season.
