League One roundup: Leyton Orient continue fine run of form

Leyton Orient continue their good run of form as they remain top of the League One table with a 4-0 victory over Tranmere Rovers.

Leyton Orient continued their great start to the season by beating Tranmere Rovers 4-0 away from home to ensure that they remain top of the League One table.

The away side took the lead through striker Kevin Lisbie, who also added a second-half goal, before Dean Cox and Shaun Batt completed the victory.

Peterborough United did their best to keep on the leaders' heels by grabbing a 1-0 victory over Shrewsbury Town.

Wolverhampton Wanderers failed to gather momentum as they were held to a 1-1 draw with Coventry City, thanks to a late equaliser from defender Aaron Phillips.

In the middle region of the table, Brentford produced a fine comeback to beat Colchester United 3-1, having been a goal down going into the final 15 minutes of the game.

MK Dons managed to hold onto a victory as they threatened to throw away three points against Rotherham United, who came back from two goals down at one point in the match.

Down at the bottom of the table, Bristol City failed to turn things around as they were beaten 1-0 by home side Crewe Alexandra.

Stevenage also continued their poor start to the season as they were beaten 2-1 away at Walsall, despite the best efforts of Francois Zoko, who did his best to drag 10-man Stevenage back into the game.
