Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has denied Thiago Alcantara will miss the rest of the season with injury.
The Reds returned to action on Sunday after the club dealt with a COVID-19 outbreak, and they were able to defeat Shrewsbury Town in the FA Cup.
One player who did not feature was Thiago, which raised concerns over his fitness as he has not been involved in a matchday squad since December 30.
"No. Neither March nor end of season is in my mind," Klopp said when asked if the midfielder will miss the rest of the campaign.
"It is something around the hip," he added. "That is the situation he needs time. He did not train this week but we expect him to start rehab from Monday. It is not the case that he is out until the end of season."
The 30-year-old has made 11 appearances in the Premier League this season, while also playing three times in the Champions League, scoring twice in all competitions.
Liverpool will be back in action on Thursday in the first leg of their EFL Cup semi-final against Arsenal.
