Michael Laudrup insists that Ashley Williams will keep anger towards Luis Suarez in check when Swansea City play Liverpool this weekend.

Swansea City manager Michael Laudrup has declared that he expects Ashley Williams to keep his cool against Luis Suarez this weekend.

Laudrup's side host Liverpool on Sunday, after Williams wrote that he wanted to "knock out" the Uruguayan striker in his new autobiography.

The Swans boss admitted that he is unsure if the pair will shake hands but he does not anticipate Williams will be anything other than professional during the match.

He told reporters: "I haven't spoken to Ashley about what he said in the book.

"But I know him well enough and he'll be focused on the game, whatever was said.

"He will play by the book on Sunday! I don't think he will lose his head but he won't be sending any Christmas cards to Suarez. But it's nothing that will bother my sleep at night."

Swansea sit one point above Liverpool ahead of Sunday's match, which marks Brendan Rodgers's first game back at the Liberty Stadium since leaving for Merseyside in the summer.
