Liverpool break all-time winning record with Crystal Palace rout

Liverpool win a top-flight away game by a margin of seven goals or more for the first time ever in their thrashing of Crystal Palace on Saturday.

Liverpool have broken an all-time club winning record after putting seven past Crystal Palace in Saturday's Premier League victory at Selhurst Park.

Jurgen Klopp's side stormed to victory in the capital thanks to goals from Takumi Minamino, Jordan Henderson, Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino (2), and Mohamed Salah (2).

That drubbing marked the first-time ever that Palace had shipped seven goals on their own turf, and on the other hand, Liverpool won an away game in the top flight by seven or more for the first time ever.

The Eagles were Liverpool's last victims of such a huge margin too, with the Reds enjoying a 9-0 home triumph over Palace in September 1989.

On an individual level, Jurgen Klopp has now won 127 Premier League games while in the Liverpool dugout - surpassing the previous record held by Rafael Benitez.

The Premier League champions are now five points clear of bitter rivals Everton at the top of the table.
