Mane: 'Festive schedule not a problem'

Liverpool attacker Sadio Mane sees no reason why his side cannot continue their recent good form throughout the packed festive schedule and beyond.

Liverpool attacker Sadio Mane has insisted that his side's packed festive schedule "won't be a problem" as the players are used to it by now.

The Reds have already played four matches this month and after Christmas will face a run of three games in the space of just six days either side of the New Year.

However, following back-to-back wins and clean sheets against Middlesbrough and Everton, Mane sees no reason why his side cannot maintain their form during that period and beyond.

"It's [always] important to score and not concede and that's what we did in the last two games. We've got to keep going that way - why not until the end of the season?" he told reporters.

"It's going to be a hard period because the games are so close, but I think everybody is used to it. It won't be easy, but we are going to do it because we are all professionals, it won't be a problem for us."

Mane has just three league games left before he will leave for the Africa Cup of Nations with Senegal.
