Former Liverpool midfielder Jan Molby has claimed that Glen Johnson is the best full-back in the Premier League.
The England international has starred on both sides of the Reds defence this season and scored from 25 yards in the win over West Ham United on Sunday.
He has also fought off competition from Kyle Walker and Micah Richards to become a Three Lions regular and Molby believes that this is warranted due to his versatility and consistently impressive performances.
"Glen Johnson has established himself as the best full-back in the Premier League this season," Molby said in his Liverpool Echo column.
"He was Liverpool's outstanding performer in the win at West Ham and is enjoying the best form of his career.
"Johnson is playing so well at the moment that you could play him anywhere and he would shine."
Earlier today, Match of the Day magazine announced Everton full-back Leighton Baines as the Premier League Defender of the Year following a vote conducted by 3,000 football fans.
