Colin Pascoe delighted with Liverpool win

Liverpool assistant manager Colin Pascoe heaps praise on the team following Sunday's 3-0 victory at QPR.

Liverpool assistant manager Colin Pascoe has heaped praise on the team following Sunday's 3-0 win at Queens Park Rangers in the Premier League.

Pascoe was forced to take charge of the side at Loftus Road after manager Brendan Rodgers was struck down by illness.

However, the Reds more than coped in West London as two goals from Luis Suarez and a Daniel Agger header in the opening 45 minutes secured the victory.

"That's probably the best we have played for a long time with the display in the first half," Pascoe told Sky Sports News. "The way we took our chances was pleasing.

"It was great result from the lads and the way we performed in the first half secured the win. We were disappointed with the defeat by Stoke on Boxing Day and the response from the players was terrific."

Sunday's win has lifted Liverpool up to ninth place in the table.
