Nedum Onuoha is also handed a starting role in defence, with Jamie Mackie and Adel Taarabt taking up the advanced midfield positions.

Liverpool continue with Stewart Downing in attack, while Joe Allen returns to the midfield alongside Steven Gerrard and Jordan Henderson.
