Brendan Rodgers has described Daniel Sturridge as "the best finisher in the league".
The Liverpool striker has found the back of the net in his last seven appearances in the Premier League, and has 16 goals this season.
The manager told reporters: "He's up there along with Luis [Suarez] as the best finisher in the league.
"I think with Daniel everyone realises when he's through on goal, it would be a big surprise if he misses. He's outstanding in the one versus one, he's got great variety in his finishing and both him and Luis are outstanding goalscorers.
"He's consistent. He's shown that when he plays, he scores goals. Sometimes for strikers you go through different spells. You might not score for a few games and then get seven in 10. But with Daniel, he's consistent. When he plays, he gets chances and he scores regularly."
Liverpool face Arsenal in the FA Cup this weekend.
