Rumoured Liverpool and Bayern Munich target Timo Werner indicates that he will leave RB Leipzig once his contract expires.

RB Leipzig chief executive officer Oliver Mintzlaff has confirmed that striker Timo Werner is not interested in extending his contract.

The Germany international, who has netted 60 goals in 108 appearances for the Bundesliga side, is due to become a free agent at the end of next season.

Bayern Munich have indicated that they are interested in signing the 23-year-old, but Liverpool are believed to be his preferred choice of club.

Werner now looks on course to depart the Red Bull Arena ahead of schedule as there has been no development in talks over a new deal, likely forcing Leipzig to cash in.

"We want to extend it with him, but he has signalled to us that he would rather not extend," Mintzlaff told Sky Germany.

Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham, who has spent the season on loan with Aston Villa, could replace Werner at Leipzig next season.
