Liverpool reportedly have no interest in signing Jack Grealish, giving Tottenham Hotspur a clear run to land the Aston Villa midfielder.
The 22-year-old is said to be high on the list of Mauricio Pochettino's transfer targets, despite the Villans' bloated £30m asking price.
Reports emerged over the weekend suggesting that the Reds had also entered the race for Grealish's signature, but the Liverpool Echo has discredited these claims.
Liverpool are instead said to be targeting a "higher calibre of player", with talk of discussions between the club and Villa over a permanent deal for Grealish well wide of the mark.
Lyon's Nabil Fekir remains a target for Jurgen Klopp's men, meanwhile, having previously come close to landing the French attacker in early June.
