Liverpool want Mario Balotelli, Mario Gomez swap?

Liverpool will reportedly offer Mario Balotelli as part of a swap deal with Fiorentina for striker Mario Gomez.

Liverpool have reportedly approached Fiorentina over a swap deal involving strikers Mario Balotelli and Mario Gomez.

The Italian forward has been linked with a move away from Anfield this summer, having been left out of the squad for their pre-season tour, while Gomez has struggled to settle in Serie A after moving to Fiorentina from Bayern Munich last summer.

According to Italian publication Mediaset, Liverpool will offer Balotelli on loan in order to secure Gomez's services, which would also be on loan initially.

Balotelli joined Liverpool for £16m last summer, scoring just once in 16 league appearances.
