Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Adrien Rabiot has reportedly rejected the chance to join Tottenham Hotspur as he wants to play for Liverpool instead.
The 23-year-old was a rumoured midfield option for the Reds last summer and has also been touted as a possible Bosman target for Barcelona.
Rabiot has been banished to the reserves after turning down the offer of a new contract at the Parc des Princes, meaning that he is currently free to discuss a move to sides outside of Ligue 1 as his existing deal expires in the summer.
Reports in France last week claimed that Tottenham were looking to beat rival clubs to the 23-year-old's signature by tabling a £20m offer this month.
However, Paris United suggests that Rabiot has ruled out a switch to North London because he still has hope of joining Liverpool, although he may never get his wish as Jurgen Klopp does not appear to be in the market for another midfielder.
Rabiot's most recent appearance for the French champions came in the 4-1 win over Red Star Belgrade on December 11.
