Liverpool striker Luis Suarez is ready to hand in a formal transfer request on Thursday in order to force through a summer move to Arsenal, according to reports.
The Uruguayan has made his intentions clear to leave Anfield during the current transfer window as he continues his pursuit of playing Champions League football.
The 26-year-old has attracted interest from Real Madrid, but has been the subject of two bids from Arsenal, with their latest offer of just over £40m allowing talks to take place between the two parties.
However, Liverpool are believed to be demanding £50m for Suarez, but the player is ready to submit a transfer request in order to increase his chances of a move.
The Gunners are eager to land Suarez for a cheaper fee than what Liverpool are insisting on, with some reports claiming that the forward has already agreed personal terms on a £150,000-a-week five-year deal.
Suarez joined Liverpool from Ajax for £22.7m in January 2011.
