Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has apparently ended his interest in Anzhi Makhachkala playmaker Willian, who is believed to be poised to sign for Tottenham Hotspur.
The Merseyside outfit were interested in poaching the Brazilian from the Russian club, who are willing to offload a number of their stars in order to cut costs.
The 25-year-old is believed to be in talks with Spurs over signing a five-year deal in a club-record £30m fee, but reports have emerged stating that Willian is still considering his options.
Rodgers said in a press conference: "It's one where if we can't get them in, we just have to move on. We've got 11 days to go, we have to do everything we possibly can. If you can't get the player that you want, there's always that initial disappointment, but you can't dwell on it."
Meanwhile, the Northern Irishman has confirmed that defender Sebastian Coates will miss the majority of the season with an injury.
