Roberto Mancini targets qualification from Champions League group

Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini refuses to look too far ahead in this season's Champions League campaign.

Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini has refused to look beyond his side qualifying from their Champions League group.

City have entered the competition for the first time this season and take on Napoli at the Etihad Stadium tomorrow evening.

Mancini's men are among the favourites to contest the final in Munich next May but the boss is avoiding putting too much pressure on his team.

"I think it is normal for us because Manchester City is one of the best teams in England and Europe I hope," Mancini told a press conference.

"For us it will be very important to do very well our job in this group and our target is to go into the second stage."

The two remaining teams in City's group are Bayern Munich and Villarreal.
