David Silva warns Manchester City that it would be "dangerous" to underestimate Real Madrid on Tuesday evening.

David Silva has insisted that it would be foolish for Manchester City to underestimate Real Madrid when the two sides face off in the Champions League.

Jose Mourinho's men have struggled to find their form at the beginning of the Spanish domestic season but Silva believes Madrid can return to their best soon, possibly on Tuesday night at the Bernabeu.

The former Valencia midfielder said: "It is clear that, when everything is going well, they play with more confidence.

"When they have doubts, it is difficult. But maybe it is more dangerous because they are not at a good moment and we could awaken the beast in them."

Silva committed his future to the Premier League champions on Monday by signing a new contract to keep him in Manchester for the foreseeable future.
