Raheem Sterling could be unavailable for Manchester City's Champions League last-16 first leg against Real Madrid due to injury, according to a report.

Raheem Sterling could reportedly be unavailable for Manchester City's Champions League last-16 first leg away to Real Madrid on February 26.

The England international appeared to pick up a hamstring strain in the latter stages of City's Premier League clash with Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday afternoon.

The issue saw the attacker leave the field, and he is due to undergo a scan over the next few days to determine the extent of the problem.

However, according to Marca, the 25-year-old is an injury doubt for his side's Champions League last-16 first leg against Madrid at the Bernabeu later this month.

City are next in Premier League action at home to West Ham United next weekend, while they will also face Leicester City in England's top flight before travelling to the Spanish capital for their European clash with Zinedine Zidane's side.

Sterling has scored 20 times in 35 appearances for the reigning champions this season, including five goals in six Champions League outings.
