Manuel Pellegrini: 'Sergio Aguero could play in final'

Manchesrer City boss Manuel Pellegrini says that Sergio Aguero could return from injury in time to face Sunderland in the Capital One Cup final.

Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini has confirmed that Sergio Aguero could return from injury in time to face Sunderland in the Capital One Cup final on Sunday.

The Argentine has missed City's previous five fixtures with a hamstring tear, but Pellegrini confirms that the forward will return to first-team duties on Tuesday and may be fit enough for next weekend's League Cup final.

Speaking to reporters after his team's 1-0 win over Stoke City at Eastlands, the Chilean said: "We will see about Sergio Aguero.

"He will start working with the team on Tuesday. We will see during the team if he is fit to play in the Capital one Cup final."

The 25-year-old has struck 26 times in all competitions for the Sky Blues so far this season.
