Dutch legend Edgar Davids believes that Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini lacks "people management" skills.
The 39-year-old also notes Louis van Gaal and Marcello Lippi as two of the best managers he has played under in his career.
"Van Gaal as a trainer was one of the best - it was incredible how well he prepared for games," he told the Daily Mail. "Lippi was very, very good. He knew his team, he knew how to meld together a group and make it a team.
"[Fabio] Capello taught me so much about systems, about 4-4-2, how to pressure and squeeze a team. [Frank] Rijkaard is not a good trainer but he is a really good manager of people.
"You can see Mancini lacks people management, big time. I don't want to talk negative about somebody. I do not want to talk about Mancini as there were not so many positive things."
Davids is currently working as a player-manager of Barnet alongside Mark Robson.
