Fernandinho rallies Manchester City ahead of Arsenal, Chelsea clashes

Fernandino says that upcoming games at Arsenal and Chelsea could make or break Manchester City's Premier League title defence.

Fernandinho has claimed that Manchester City's title defence could hinge on the outcome of their next two matches.

Second-placed City host top-four hopefuls Arsenal at the Etihad on Sunday before travelling away to leaders Chelsea, who boast a two-point lead over the reigning champions.

The Citizens have dropped four points from their last three league outings, and the Brazilian says that now is the vital time to kick-start their title bid once more.

"We need to keep our heads up, because the next two games can decide if we will continue fighting for this title," he told The Mirror.

"They are two difficult games - two great teams. We'll see who is in command after these two games. But it can help to win the title."

Manuel Pellegrini's side sit eight points clear of third-placed Southampton.
