Manchester City centre-back Matija Nastasic has praised the influence of club captain Vincent Kompany on the beginning of his career at the club.
Nastasic, who has enjoyed a run in the City side alongside the Belgian recently, says that Kompany talks to him on the pitch and in training to help with his game.
"It's going very well," Sky Sports News quotes Nastasic as saying. "I'm very happy. The road is the right one and I think I'm going the right way.
"I've been here for the last two or three months and, yes, I am playing with Vinnie but the other guys are good - Joleon Lescott, Kolo Toure - and they can also play well but I'm feeling good.
"We talk every day on the pitch and on the training ground, and it makes me happy to play alongside such an excellent captain and in such a good team."
Nastasic started in Wednesday night's 2-0 win away to Wigan Athletic.
