Manuel Pellegrini 'unconcerned' by potential Yaya Toure charge

Manuel Pellegrini claims that he did not see Yaya Toure's kick at Ricky van Wolfswinkel and is unconcerned that the Ivorian midfielder could face a three-game ban.

Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini has brushed off fears that Yaya Toure could face a Football Association charge for violent conduct.

The Ivorian could be handed a three-match suspension for kicking out at Norwich City striker Ricky van Wolfswinkel during the 0-0 draw on Saturday.

Action can be taken against Toure because referee Jonathan Moss missed the incident, as did Pellegrini, whose focus in the pre-match press conference was far away from his midfielder's possible ban.

"I didn't see it and I'm not concerned about that," he told reporters.

Toure has scored 12 goals in 24 Premier League starts for City this season.
