David Pizarro says that he is looking forward to creating history at Manchester City.

Manchester City midfielder David Pizarro has said that he is eager to create history at the Etihad Stadium under Roberto Mancini.

Pizarro, who starred under Mancini when he led Internazionale to their first Serie A title in almost two decades, is eager to achieve similar success in Manchester and help the team to their first league title in over 40 seasons.

"The manager has shown great faith in bringing me here," he said. "I'm fit and ready and available for selection.

"I'm aware of the huge investment that has been made and that it's a long time since they won the title. It's a great opportunity to come here and create history.

"The period that Inter started winning trophies coincided with Roberto's arrival so let's hope that history repeats itself and that we start winning trophies at Manchester City."

The Chilean will remain at the Etihad Stadium until the end of the season before returning to parent club Roma.
