Manchester City owner Sheikh Mansour insists that winning the Premier League is the club's top priority this season.

Manchester City owner Sheikh Mansour has said that the Premier League is the club's top priority this season.

The Premier League leaders, who are also in the Champions League, reached the Carling Cup semi-finals on Tuesday night after a 1-0 win away at Arsenal.

However, the Abu Dhabi billionaire has claimed that winning the league would act as a catalyst for more success.

"We must not forget that our main objective is to win the English Premier League," he told Al Ittihad.

"If we can achieve this, the outcome will impact the team and the club as a whole. This will instil us all with the confidence to look ahead and achieve even greater success."

Mansour bought the club for £210m in 2008.
