Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero has reportedly been offered a contract extension at the Etihad Stadium.
The 27-year-old, who has been open about his desire to one day return to his homeland Argentina, does not come to the end of his current terms until 2019.
According to The Guardian, City are hopeful that their star striker, who joined the club from Atletico Madrid for £38m in the summer of 2011, will pen an extension until 2020 at least.
Numerous injuries have disrupted Aguero's season, but he has still managed to net 18 goals in 25 appearances.
The striker added to his tally at the weekend against Premier League leaders Leicester City, but it proved to be a consolation goal as the Foxes ran out 3-1 winners.
It is believed that Aguero's new deal will be announced before the end of the season.
