The Bundesliga side look set to lose star striker Robert Lewandowski in the summer and Dzeko is reportedly among their top transfer targets, according to Bild.
The 26-year-old, who joined City from Wolfsburg in 2011, recently admitted that he intends to return to Germany in the future.
Dzeko has scored 18 goals in 39 appearances for City this season.
