Manchester City have reportedly reignited their interest in Arsenal striker Robin van Persie following the Dutchman's decision to leave the club.
The 28-year-old revealed yesterday that he will not sign a new contract with the Gunners following unsuccessful talks with manager Arsene Wenger and the club's board.
While reports had previously claimed that the Premier League champions had cooled their interest in Van Persie, it is understood that the blue half of Manchester will launch a £25m bid for the prolific forward, according to the Daily Star.
The North London club could force Van Persie to see out the final year of his contract but they risk losing a substantial transfer fee if they opt to keep him for one more season.
