Valencia have begun talks to sign Manchester City's Alvaro Negredo, according to a report.
The 29-year-old is said to be unhappy with the notion that he will be behind Sergio Aguero, Edin Dzeko and Stevan Jovetic in the pecking order at the Etihad Stadium.
With Valencia in need of a striker, Marca claims that the club's directors have traveled to Madrid in order to liaise with the Spain international's agents.
Negredo, who is currently sidelined with a metatarsal injury, is also reported to be on Real Madrid's radar.
