Tuesday's Champions League predictions including Barcelona vs. Bayern Munich

Sports Mole provides score predictions for all of Tuesday's Champions League fixtures, including Barcelona vs. Bayern Munich.

Young Boys vs. Man Utd (Tuesday, 5.45pm)

Manchester United will be looking to make the perfect start to their 2021-22 Champions League group-stage campaign when they take on Young Boys in Switzerland on Tuesday night.

The Red Devils will enter the match off the back of a 4-1 win over Newcastle United in the Premier League on Saturday, while Young Boys thumped Zurich 4-0 in the Swiss Super League in their last match.

We say: Young Boys 1-3 Manchester United

There is no question that Young Boys have the tools to hurt Man United, who afforded Newcastle too much space on the counter-attack on Saturday. We are tipping the home side to score on Tuesday but believe that the Red Devils will be too strong down the other end, so a 3-1 away success could be on the cards.

Our tipster partners are predicting an away win.

Sevilla vs. Salzburg (Tuesday, 5.45pm)

Sevilla and Red Bull Salzburg kick off their Champions League campaigns on Tuesday night in Group G at the Estadio Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan.

Julen Lopetegui's side booked their spot in the group stage after claiming fourth place in the 2020-21 La Liga season, whereas Salzburg had to progress past Brondby in the qualifying rounds.

We say: Sevilla 3-1 Red Bull Salzburg

Goals at both ends are almost always guaranteed when Salzburg step foot onto the field, but a lack of European experience may harm this incredibly young side on Tuesday.

Furthermore, with Sevilla enjoying greater time to prepare for this battle owing to the postponement of their clash with Barca, we can only back Lopetegui's side to come up trumps on their own turf.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 3.5 goals.

Barcelona vs. Bayern (Tuesday, 8.00pm)

Barcelona and Bayern Munich begin their respective quests for Champions League glory with a blockbuster Group E clash at Camp Nou on Tuesday night.

La Blaugrana took third place in the 2020-21 La Liga season to secure another safe passage into the group stages, while Bayern's perennial reign of dominance in the German top flight continued.

We say: Barcelona 0-2 Bayern Munich

While any Bavarian hopes of another six-goal thrashing may not be fulfilled, it is difficult to pinpoint any weaknesses in this Bayern side now that Lucas Hernandez and Benjamin Pavard have returned to bolster the rearguard.

Barcelona have started the season brightly under Koeman, but facing the side with the longest-ever unbeaten streak away from home in the Champions League surely only spells one outcome.

Our tipster partners are predicting a double chance bet on a home win or an away win.

Dynamo Kiev vs. Benfica (Tuesday, 8.00pm)

Dynamo Kiev and Benfica kick off their 2021-22 Champions League campaigns with Tuesday's Group E clash at the NSC Olimpiyskiy.

The hosts stormed to the Ukrainian Premier League title last term to secure their passage into the group stage, whereas Benfica had to do it the hard way after a third-placed finish in the 2020-21 Primeira Liga season.

We say: Dynamo Kiev 0-1 Benfica

Dynamo Kiev's lack of attacking options have not impacted their ability to storm to the top of the rankings domestically, but their injury problems are sure to be well and truly felt against a team of Benfica's calibre.

The Portuguese leaders ship very few goals away from home and will pay Dynamo the respect that they deserve, but we can only see Jesus's side getting off on the right foot with all three points this week.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 3.5 goals.

Villarreal vs. Atalanta (Tuesday, 8.00pm)

Villarreal manager Unai Emery pictured in December 2020© Reuters

Villarreal and Atalanta BC will lock horns for the first time in their respective histories on Tuesday night, with the two teams opening their Champions League group-stage campaign at Estadio de la Ceramica.

The Yellow Submarine have not been in action since drawing 2-2 with Atletico Madrid at the end of August, while Atalanta will enter the clash off the back of a 2-1 home defeat to Fiorentina on Saturday.

We say: Villarreal 1-1 Atalanta BC

This is a very difficult match to call, even more so considering that Villarreal have not played since the end of August. Both teams will believe that they can cause issues in the final third of the field, but we are struggling to separate them and have therefore had to settle on a low-scoring draw in Spain.

Our tipster partners are predicting a double chance bet on a home win or an away win.

Lille vs. Wolfsburg (Tuesday, 8.00pm)

Lille manager Jocelyn Gourvennec pictured in August 2021© Reuters

Seeking to push their troubles in Ligue 1 to one side, Lille's inaugural Champions League game of the 2021-22 season sees them welcome Wolfsburg to the Stade Pierre-Mauroy on Tuesday night.

Les Dogues booked their place in the group stage after marching to the top-flight title last term, while their visitors took fourth spot in the Bundesliga.

We say: Lille 1-2 Wolfsburg

Wolfsburg are clearly the ones with the wind in their sails heading into this opening clash, with Van Bommel's side producing defensive masterclasses week in week out and boasting quite the plethora of attacking talent.

Lille will be determined to put their Ligue 1 troubles behind them for a few days at least, but we can envisage Gourvennec's struggles continuing with a narrow defeat in front of the home crowd.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 1.5 goals.

Chelsea vs. Zenit (Tuesday, 8.00pm)

Both boasting unbeaten records in their domestic leagues so far, Chelsea host Zenit St Petersburg on Tuesday, as the Champions League group stage returns.

Three months after the defending champions triumphed in Porto, they start their Group H campaign against a side sitting top of the Russian Premier League and aiming to improve on last year's early exit.

We say: Chelsea 2-1 Zenit St Petersburg

A relatively serene start to the new season and home advantage should see Chelsea make a successful return to the competition they won in May.

Undoubtedly, as the dominant force in Russia, the visitors should pose a threat to the Blues at the back - but Zenit will again come up short away from home, as they cannot repel Lukaku and company for a full 90 minutes.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 3.5 goals.

Malmo vs. Juventus (Tuesday, 8.00pm)

Amid the storm caused by their star player's departure, Juventus have struggled to adapt, so they seek to bounce back at Malmo on Tuesday, upon their return to the Champions League.

Following a limp last-16 exit last term, Juve only just scraped into Europe's elite competition on the final day of the Serie A season, while their hosts - who started in the first round of qualifying - are back in the big time after six years away.

We say: Malmo 1-1 Juventus

On home soil, Malmo can hold firm against a Juventus side who have all the pressure on their shoulders ahead of the game.

The Allsvenskan outfit pose a definite goal threat and are sure to test the instability which has plagued both the visitors' back four and their previously reliable goalkeeper.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 3.5 goals.
