Sunday's Manchester United transfer talk news roundup: Thiago Almada, Facundo Pellistri, Ousmane Dembele

Sports Mole rounds up the latest transfer talk for Manchester United on Sunday, November 29.

A frustrating summer transfer window has now closed with Manchester United having missed out on a number of their top targets, including Jadon Sancho.

The Red Devils were busy on deadline day, though, bringing in Edinson Cavani, Alex Telles and Facundo Pellistri, in addition to agreeing a deal to sign Amad Traore in January. Attention will now switch to other business they may do when the window reopens in the winter.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up the latest news on possible comings and goings from Old Trafford.

Manchester United are reportedly keen on bringing Velez Sarsfield attacker Thiago Almada to Old Trafford.

The 19-year-old has scored 12 times and registered four assists in 50 appearances for his current club, and a number of European teams are believed to be interested in his services.

Manchester City, Valencia and Ajax are thought to be admirers, but according to Tuttomercatoweb, United are also eyeing a swoop for the teenager in 2021.

Almada, who came through the youth system at Velez, has scored once in seven appearances for Argentina's Under-20 side.

The versatile attacker still has two and a half years left to run on his contract, though, placing El Fortin in a strong position when it comes to potential negotiations.

United signed Facundo Pellistri from Penarol over the summer, while fellow youngster Amad Diallo is due to arrive at Old Trafford from Atalanta BC in January.

Barcelona 'prepared to discuss Ousmane Dembele deal with Manchester United'

Barcelona would reportedly be open to discussing a mid-season move for Ousmane Dembele amid suggestions that Manchester United are interested in the attacker.

United were strongly linked with the France international over the summer, but the transfer window closed with the 2018 World Cup winner still at Camp Nou.

A recent report claimed that the Red Devils are still interested in the 23-year-old, who has scored three times and provided one assist in nine appearances for Barca during the 2020-21 campaign.

According to Mundo Deportivo, Ronald Koeman's side are prepared to discuss a January deal with United, while there has already been contact between the English giants and the player himself.

Dembele, who is also believed to be attracting the attention of Juventus, has struggled with a number of injuries since joining Barca from Borussia Dortmund as Neymar's replacement.

United are only believed to be interested in a loan deal for Dembele at this stage.
