Manchester United midfielder Michael Carrick believes that Paul Scholes has been an integral part of the Red Devils' launch to the top of the table.
The 37-year-old made a sensational return to Sir Alex Ferguson's side in January, despite hanging up his boots last season.
"He has been a massive impact," said Carrick. "We all know how good he is and what he brings to the team on and off the pitch and around the training ground.
"His performances, to come straight into the team and play like he did was amazing, really, and he's just carried it on. He's got a lot of games left in him."
The English champions have been unbeaten since Scholes's return, accumulating 11 victories and one draw.
