Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has described Ryan Giggs as deserving of scoring the winner against Norwich City on his 900th appearance for the club.
The Welshman converted in the final minute to give United a 2-1 victory at Carrow Road on Sunday afternoon.
"It could prove to be very special, but for Ryan to score the winning goal with the last kick of the ball on his 900th game, well, he probably deserves that for the career he's had," Ferguson told Sky Sports News.
"But I have to say we were lucky today in the sense that although we made a host of chances, Danny Welbeck could have scored four. I thought Norwich were the better team."
The Red Devils are now two points behind Premier League leaders Manchester City in the table.
