Zlatan Ibrahimovic included in Manchester United squad to face Galatasaray

Zlatan Ibrahimovic is in line to make his Manchester United debut against Galatasaray, but there is no place in Jose Mourinho's squad for Bastian Schweinsteiger.

New Manchester United striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic could be in line to make his debut for the club having been named in the squad to face Galatasaray on Saturday.

The 34-year-old missed the club's tour of China earlier in pre-season having been given an extended break following his exploits at Euro 2016.

However, the Sweden international will return to his home country for Saturday's match as United take on the Turkish outfit in Gothenburg.

Fellow new signings Eric Bailly and Henrikh Mkhitaryan have also been included, but there is no place for Bastian Schweinsteiger, who is expected to leave the club this summer having been forced to train alone on Thursday.

The likes of Timothy Fosu-Mensah, Adnan Januzaj, Andreas Pereira, Cameron Borthwick-Jackson, Tyler Blackett, Paddy McNair, Will Keane and James Wilson are also expected to depart Old Trafford on a temporary basis, with none of them being included in Jose Mourinho's 23-man squad.

United will take on Leicester City in the Community Shield next weekend before beginning the new Premier League season away to Bournemouth.
