Manchester United striker Romelu Lukaku says that his side "worked hard" for their 2-1 win over Chelsea on Sunday.

Manchester United striker Romelu Lukaku has said that his side "worked hard" for their 2-1 win over Chelsea on Sunday.

Lukaku equalised after Willian's opener at Old Trafford, before crossing for Jesse Lingard to head home the winner in the second half.

The win, which Lukaku has hailed as a "massive three points", moves United back above Liverpool into second place in the Premier League table.

"We had to work really hard for that win, we were well prepared and we we did our best today," the Belgian international told reporters after the game. "At the end of the day I just want to work hard for the team, and if I improve I'm really satisfied.

"I always work hard, so to get the three points is great for us."

United's next fixture is against Crystal Palace in the top flight.
