Facundo Pellistri is reportedly expected to be given plenty of first-team minutes by Manchester United during the current campaign.
On Monday evening, United confirmed that they had won the race for the highly-regarded Uruguayan teenager, paying a fee in the region of £9m.
With the winger not due to turn 19 years of age until December, it has been suggested that the prospect will spend time in the club's academy setup.
However, The Independent claims that Pellistri will be provided with regular opportunities to impress Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in senior matches.
The report suggests that the development is a result of the Norwegian holding discussions with former United forward Diego Forlan, who was one of Pellistri's managers at Penarol.
Despite his age, Pellistri made 37 appearances for the top-flight side back in his homeland.
