Manchester United are reportedly locked in a three-way battle with Arsenal and Chelsea for RB Leipzig talent spotter Paul Mitchell.

A trio of Premier League clubs are reportedly battling it out to land RB Leipzig talent spotter Paul Mitchell.

Manchester United, Arsenal and Chelsea are all on the lookout for a director of football, preferably in time for the summer transfer window.

Sky Sports News claims that all three sides may turn to Mitchell, who has previously spent time as head of recruitment at Tottenham Hotspur and Southampton.

However, the 37-year-old is rumoured to have been offered a lucrative new deal by Leipzig that will keep him under contract until 2025.

Manchester-born Mitchell has spent the past couple of years with the Bundesliga side and is said to have been told that the manager's job will be his at some point if he sticks around.

Arsenal have already missed out on one director of football target over the past month, with Monchi opting to rejoin Sevilla instead.
