Liverpool head coach Arne Slot could recall two of his Euro 2024 representatives to the first XI for Saturday's pre-season friendly against Manchester United in the USA.
The Reds emerged triumphant by a 2-1 scoreline over Arsenal in midweek, where Ryan Gravenberch and Ibrahima Konate were both back on the bench after their continental exploits.
Slot has already confirmed that both men should be involved in the weekend's battle, so it would not be a shock to see them earn 45 minutes each in the first half before being substituted out.
That was the case for Portuguese attacker Diogo Jota, who started at the tip of the Reds' attack against Arsenal and could reprise that role at Williams–Brice Stadium, in between scorers Mohamed Salah and Fabio Carvalho.
Both wingers were assisted by the lively Harvey Elliott, who may be the only member of Wednesday's midfield trio to keep his place as Wataru Endo and Gravenberch both eye spots in the first XI.
Dominik Szoboszlai and Curtis Jones would make way if that is the case, while Konate's potential return to the backline could see Jarell Quansah axed; Sepp van den Berg is playing well in pre-season, and his continued selection would only benefit Liverpool's chances of receiving a sizeable fee from an expected transfer.
Andrew Robertson is still working his way back from injury, so Kostas Tsimikas's spot at left-back appears safe, while Conor Bradley and Caoimhin Kelleher should complete the Reds' backline.
Liverpool possible starting lineup:
Kelleher; Bradley, Konate, Van den Berg, Tsimikas; Elliott, Endo, Gravenberch; Salah, Jota, Carvalho
