Guillem Balague: 'Arsenal, Radamel Falcao never a possibility'

Spanish journalist Guillem Balague claims that Monaco forward Radamel Falcao "was never a possibility for Arsenal".

Spanish journalist Guillem Balague has said that Radamel Falcao "was never a possibility for Arsenal" as the Colombian nears a loan move to Manchester United.

Monaco granted the 28-year-old permission to leave the French club earlier this morning, with United moving quickly to agree terms.

Arsenal had been linked with a move, but Balague has rejected such claims.

"Falcao was never a possibility for Arsenal," Balague told Sky Sports News.

Balague also said that Manchester City were interested, but failed to make a firm offer.

Falcao is reportedly en route to Carrington to undergo a medical with United.
