Inter Milan manager Luciano Spalletti has admitted that the club will consider bids for winger Ivan Perisic if they are "difficult" to reject.
Perisic has been strongly linked with a £48m move to Manchester United throughout the current transfer window, and Red Devils boss Jose Mourinho reiterated yesterday that he still wants to add a winger to his squad this summer.
Spalletti stressed that he is keen to keep the 28-year-old at San Siro, but opened the door for United to try to convince the club to sell.
"He's an important player in the team and we're counting on him to start the new season," he is quoted as saying by BBC Sport.
"Sure, there were rumours, but the status quo is that we want to keep Perisic. Having said that, if someone comes in with a very difficult offer to reject, then we'll consider that.
"But, of course, we'll need to find a valid alternative for Perisic as well."
Perisic has scored 18 goals in 70 Serie A appearances during his two-year stay at Inter.
