Atalanta BC midfielder Teun Koopmeiners is allegedly wanted by both Juventus and Manchester United this summer.

Juventus and Manchester United could reportedly go head-to-head for the signature of Atalanta BC midfielder Teun Koopmeiners during this summer's transfer window.

The 25-year-old has been with Atalanta since 2021, arriving from AZ, and he has represented the Italian side on 104 occasions in all competitions, scoring 21 goals and registering 12 assists in the process.

Koopmeiners has again been an important player for La Dea this term, making 26 appearances in all competitions, scoring seven goals and registering four assists.

The Netherlands international has a contract with Atalanta until the summer of 2027, but there is currently speculation surrounding his future.

According to Italian journalist Nicolo Schira, Juventus and Man United are both keen on the midfielder amid suggestions that his Serie A club are open to sensible offers.

Koopmeiners has managed five goals and three assists in 19 Serie A appearances this season, while he also provided one assist in five outings in the group stage of the Europa League.

The midfielder has netted in his last two league games against Roma and Frosionone, but he has missed the recent matches with Udinese and Lazio due to injury.

Atalanta are fourth in the Serie A table, while Juventus sit second, four points behind the leaders Inter Milan, who have a game in hand.

Juventus are said to be keen to keep Koopmeiners in Italy, but he could also be offered the chance to make the move to Man United to play under fellow Dutchman Erik ten Hag.

The Red Devils are planning to build their midfield around 18-year-old Kobbie Mainoo, while Bruno Fernandes is also seen as a vital part of the club's plans moving forward.

Christian Eriksen is being strongly linked with an exit; he is set to stay for the rest of the season amid interest from Galatasaray, but a summer move is thought to be likely.

Casemiro, meanwhile, could also move on, potentially to Saudi Arabia, while the club are not believed to be planning to sign Sofyan Amrabat on a permanent basis from Fiorentina.

Mason Mount will look to put his injury problems behind him next season, but there is also uncertainty surrounding Scott McTominay's future, so it is possible that a couple of new central midfielders will make the move to Old Trafford as part of the rebuild under incoming minority shareholder Sir Jim Ratcliffe.
