Juventus director Giuseppe Marotta 'to let Arturo Vidal leave club if he asks'

Juventus director general Giuseppe Marotta reveals that they will only sell Arturo Vidal if he asks to leave.

Juventus director general Giuseppe Marotta has revealed that he will only sell Arturo Vidal if the player asks to leave the club himself.

Vidal's future in Turin seems uncertain, with the Chile international the subject of constant speculation linking him with a move to Manchester United this summer.

However, Marotta has conceded that Juventus would consider selling the 27-year-old if he decides that he is not happy with the Italian champions.

"Vidal? We already said that he is not on the market, but the player's will is decisive," Marotta is quoted as saying by Sky Sports News.

"Vidal has never said he wants to leave, and Juventus will sell him only if he were unhappy to remain.

"Nowadays, however, there's absolutely no reason to even be discussing this now."

Marotta recently reiterated that Vidal was under contract and "not on the market".
