Liverpool reportedly end their interest in signing Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho, leaving Manchester United and Chelsea as front-runners for his signature.

Liverpool have reportedly dropped out of the race to sign Jadon Sancho from Borussia Dortmund this summer.

The 20-year-old winger is set to be the most coveted player on the market when the transfer window reopens, with the likes of Real Madrid, Manchester United, Chelsea, Manchester City and Barcelona all having been credited with an interest in him.

Liverpool were also thought to view Sancho as a dream signing, but they have been put off by Dortmund's nine-figure asking price and The Mirror reports that they have now ended their interest once and for all.

Jurgen Klopp's side would allegedly only consider reviving their pursuit of the attacker should one of Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane or Roberto Firmino end up leaving the club.

The England international favours a move back to his home country if, as is widely expected, he leaves Dortmund this summer, and Liverpool's withdrawal puts Man United and Chelsea as his most likely destinations.

However, the report goes on to state that neither Premier League club are willing to pay the asking price, which is understood to be at least £100m and possibly as much as £120m.

Sancho has directly contributed to 30 goals in just 23 Bundesliga appearances this season, scoring 14 and creating a further 16.
